We are looking for a Growth Director, Energetics to scale capacity in one of Cambridge Aerospace’s most important markets. You will lead the development and execution of growth strategy across energetics, including solid rocket motors and precursor chemicals. This role is responsible for increasing opportunity bandwidth, enabling parallel pursuit of high-value programmes, and building deep engagement with key global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead growth strategy and execution across the energetics portfolio
  • Drive development of opportunities across defence, space, and adjacent industrial sectors
  • Enable parallel pursuit of multiple high-value programmes across geographies and customers
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with defence primes, government stakeholders, and industrial partners
  • Identify and prioritise new markets and applications for energetics products
  • Own pipeline development and progression from early engagement through to contract award
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to align commercial demand with delivery capability
  • Shape commercial strategy, including pricing, positioning, and partnership models
  • Represent Cambridge Aerospace in senior external engagements, negotiations, and briefings
  • Build and scale the energetics growth function over time

Requirements

  • Significant experience in business development, growth, or commercial leadership roles
  • Experience selling into complex B2B environments, particularly with defence primes or government customers
  • Strong understanding of long-cycle, high-value programme sales
  • Ability to operate credibly with senior stakeholders across industry and government
  • Commercially rigorous with a track record of developing and converting strategic opportunities
  • Strong organisational capability, able to manage multiple concurrent campaigns
  • High ownership mindset with accountability for revenue outcomes
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and high-growth environments

Preferred

  • Experience in energetics, propulsion systems, or the space sector
  • Understanding of solid rocket motors, precursor chemicals, or adjacent technologies
  • Experience working with multinational defence primes and global supply chains
  • Exposure to space sector customers and commercial models
  • Experience expanding into adjacent industrial markets
  • Track record of scaling new business lines or markets
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
