As an embedded software engineer, you will be responsible for delivering embedded software on a range of platforms for applications from flight control to radar processing.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and define the architecture of embedded software in conjunction with the wider engineering team.
- Scope and expand our CI and automated testing and release infrastructure.
- Build high-performance, deterministic and well-tested embedded systems with a view to accreditation.
- Definition of interfaces between software elements (APIs) and over communications interfaces (protocols).
Requirements:
- Excellent embedded C/C++/Rust skills.
- Experience developing for safety-critical systems, i.e., avionics, medical or automotive.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in fast-paced R&D or startup environments, with rapid prototype iteration times.
- Experience with bare-metal, RTOS (i.e., NuttX, ThreadX, RTIC, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, INTEGRITY), and embedded Linux.
- Experience with STM32, Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+, etc.
- Experience with flight controllers.
