We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Additive Manufacturing Technician to join the Manufacturing team at a critical stage in the company’s growth. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining industrial polymer 3D printing equipment to support prototyping and production activities. The position plays an important part in ensuring printed components are produced safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment and will bring a practical, detail-focused approach to day-to-day production tasks. You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support build execution, post-processing, and basic inspection activities.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate industrial polymer 3D printing equipment
- Load print files into machine software and prepare builds
- Prepare materials and printers prior to starting jobs
- Start, monitor, and manage print jobs in line with production schedules
- Remove completed builds from machines when printing is complete
- Carry out post-processing activities including support removal, cleaning, sanding, trimming, and bead blasting
- Perform basic visual inspections and dimensional checks using simple measuring tools
- Identify and report defects, machine issues, or process concerns to engineers or supervisors
- Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean, organised, and safe
- Carry out routine machine maintenance tasks in line with instructions and procedures
- Follow all health, safety, quality, and process requirements
Requirements
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or workshop environment
- Basic understanding of additive manufacturing or 3D printing processes
- Ability to follow work instructions, technical procedures, and production plans
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness
- Comfortable using computers and machine control software
- Willingness to work hands-on in a production setting
Preferred Experience
- Experience operating industrial polymer 3D printing equipment
- Experience with post-processing or finishing plastic or polymer parts
- Background in engineering, prototyping, aerospace, defence, motorsport, or product development environments
- Experience working within regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing settings
