Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Payroll Systems Assistant to join their Head Office team in Plymouth.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with payroll or HR systems experience who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and improving processes.
You'll play a key role in supporting payroll systems, producing reports, maintaining accurate data, and helping to drive continuous improvements across the payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain payroll and workforce management systems.
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, and enhancements.
- Monitor data quality, integrations, and system performance.
- Produce and analyse payroll and workforce reports.
- Manage data imports, reconciliations, and audits.
- Provide systems support and guidance to payroll colleagues.
- Support process improvements and payroll-related projects.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, GDPR, and internal controls.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
- Experience within payroll, HR systems, or a similar systems-based role.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience with Zellis Payroll and/or UKG Workforce Management.
- Knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation.
- Experience with reporting tools, system integrations, or payroll projects.
