Police Entry Routes

• If you would like to be paid to study for a degree and work, you can join on the apprenticeship route, 3 year probation (PCDA).
• If you have a degree, you can join on the degree entry programme, 2 year probation (DHEP).
• If you have a Professional Policing Degree, you can join via this route, 2 year probation (PPD).
• If you have no degree and no desire to study for a degree, you can join our new Police Constable Entry Programme, 2 year probation (PCEP).

Discovery Sessions are your chance to learn more before you apply. Throughout this campaign, you are invited to register for one of our pre-application discovery sessions where you will have the opportunity to learn about the role, application process and training and speak to our training and recruitment teams.

Assessment centres will be on the following dates: 3rd September – 10th or 17th – 24th September. Eligible Candidates will be invited to one of the above dates. Applications will be to fill Intakes in 2027.
