We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Site Labourer to join our growing team. This is a key support role on site, helping to ensure construction projects run smoothly, safely, and on schedule. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople and Site Managers on a variety of tasks, gaining valuable hands‑on experience in the construction industry. MPH Construction’s head office is based in Mold; however, you will be working across North and Mid Wales, as well as the Northwest of England. This role offers full training and development in all required areas. The position is permanent and site-based, with salary dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting skilled tradespeople such as bricklayers, joiners, groundworkers, and electricians while working effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping to keep the site and welfare clean, organised, and hazard‑free.
  • Taking responsibility for loading, unloading, and transporting building materials, tools, and equipment around the site.
  • Assisting with the construction and dismantling of temporary site structures (e.g. barriers and signage) where required.
  • Working under the supervision of a Site Manager or Site Supervisor.
  • Following health and safety regulations (including the correct use of PPE) and working in line with MPH standards regarding safety and quality.
  • Demonstrating an ability and willingness to work with hands, using various tools and materials, with a practical approach to problem‑solving.

Who we are looking for

  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • A valid CSCS card and Banksman Training is advantageous (or willingness to obtain).
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour.
  • Good time‑keeping and punctuality.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Some knowledge of construction and site working practices would be advantageous, although not essential.
  • A candidate with a self‑driven attitude, with the ability to use their initiative for everyday tasks.
