About ADA Shopfittings Ltd
Founded in 1991, ADA Shopfittings Ltd is a well-established business based on Deeside Industrial Estate with a team of five employees. We design, create and install bespoke joinery, shopfitting and commercial interior solutions for customers across the UK. Our clients include independent retailers, convenience stores, off licences, opticians, cafés, bakeries, gift shops, market stalls, industrial warehouses, auctioneers and visitor centres.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in manufacturing and installing bespoke joinery, shopfitting and display solutions.
  • Work with timber, MDF, laminates and other materials.
  • Use hand tools and portable power tools safely under supervision, with opportunities to learn selected workshop machinery.
  • Sand, fill, touch up, silicone and prepare finished products.
  • Assemble shelving, slatwall and gridwall systems for retail installations.
  • Read floor plans and technical drawings with support from experienced colleagues.
  • Gain an introduction to SketchUp to understand the design process.
  • Assist with local and UK-wide installations, including occasional overnight stays or unique projects.
  • Attend site surveys, measuring appointments and client meetings.
  • Help customers visiting the showroom when required.
  • Receive, organise and prepare stock and materials in the warehouse.
  • Load and unload company vehicles and prepare jobs for dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Follow site‑specific safety procedures and wear PPE provided by the company.

Working Pattern

Predominantly Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm. Most work is local, although occasional projects may require travel, overnight stays or work outside normal hours.

Training & Equipment

Full support will be provided by experienced members of the team. Company polo shirts, PPE, hard hats (where required) and steel toe‑cap safety boots are provided. The apprentice will need to make their own way to our Deeside Industrial Estate premises, which is well served by local bus routes. Travel to sites will be with other members of staff in company vehicles.
