Overview
An opportunity to undertake an Accounting Apprenticeship with Sharp at their UK manufacturing base in Llay, Wrexham.
As the Finance Apprentice you will gain a broad range of finance experience and an insight into a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and resolve queries with supplier invoices, credit and debit notes.
- Accurately reconcile incoming vendor statements and raise queries where required.
- Arrange payment runs and monitor upcoming payment due dates to ensure timely payment.
- Manage incoming emails and post.
- General administration including filing and keeping accurate records.
- Assist with Month End closing tasks.
- Assist with annual stock take and auditing obligations.
- Light reporting to management teams using SAP.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to resolve queries resulting in timely payment of invoices.
- Liaise with external stakeholders whilst maintaining good trading relationships and positively represent the Sharp brand.
- Participate in in-house training and attend all day-release college days.
- Any additional tasks as deemed necessary.
- Key Skills and Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is desirable but not essential
- Ability to meet strict deadlines through role flexibility
- A high degree of self-motivation and a determination to complete projects
- Excellent organisational, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent analytical and math skills
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Have good attention to detail
- Have excellent negotiation skills
