Overview

An opportunity to undertake an Accounting Apprenticeship with Sharp at their UK manufacturing base in Llay, Wrexham.

As the Finance Apprentice you will gain a broad range of finance experience and an insight into a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process and resolve queries with supplier invoices, credit and debit notes.
  • Accurately reconcile incoming vendor statements and raise queries where required.
  • Arrange payment runs and monitor upcoming payment due dates to ensure timely payment.
  • Manage incoming emails and post.
  • General administration including filing and keeping accurate records.
  • Assist with Month End closing tasks.
  • Assist with annual stock take and auditing obligations.
  • Light reporting to management teams using SAP.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to resolve queries resulting in timely payment of invoices.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders whilst maintaining good trading relationships and positively represent the Sharp brand.
  • Participate in in-house training and attend all day-release college days.
  • Any additional tasks as deemed necessary.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines through role flexibility
  • A high degree of self-motivation and a determination to complete projects
  • Excellent organisational, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent analytical and math skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Have excellent negotiation skills
