We deliver DNA science services that enhance health and well‑being to members of the public through our NorthGene™ brand. We provide DNA testing services that prove familial relationships for the courts, for immigration purposes and sexually transmitted infection testing.
This starter role offers on‑the‑job learning, with optional day‑release learning at Coleg Cambria (Deeside) or dedicated training hours onsite during office hours, in our offices at Deeside Industrial Park CH5 2UA. Working hours are from 9:00 to 17:30 on weekdays.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing customer service on the phone and in person to the general public.
- Supporting daily office operations and administrative tasks.
- Engaging with team members to maintain a collaborative work environment.
Required qualifications and attributes:
- Organised, meticulous, and able to demonstrate genuine interest and enthusiasm for customer services.
- Strong communication skills, including experience dealing with the public on the phone.
- Five or more GCSE passes, including English and Maths.
- Ability to travel independently to the site located at 2 Tenth Avenue, Deeside Industrial Park, Deeside, CH5 2UA.
Salary and benefits:
- Apprentice salary ranging from £16,575 (£8.50 per hour) for first‑year and under‑18 apprentices to £24,500 (£12.56 per hour) for apprentices over 21.
- Enhanced pension, private medical and dental cover, life insurance.
- 14 days of full pay for sickness, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and an extra day for your birthday.
