Bryn Edwin Hall is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced Cook to join our residential care home team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious, home-cooked meals from scratch, baking and making a real difference to older residents through good food, kindness and attention to detail.
What makes this role different?
- Daytime hours with no late-night finishes or split shifts.
- Predictable numbers and a friendly kitchen team.
- The opportunity to cook proper homemade meals and bake fresh treats.
- Get to know the residents and see how much they enjoy your food!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing fresh, balanced breakfasts, lunches and evening meals.
- Helping plan varied menus based on residents' preferences.
- Baking homemade cakes, desserts and snacks.
- Catering safely for dietary needs, including allergies, diabetes, fortified diets and dysphagia.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, presentation and kitchen cleanliness.
- Managing stock, reducing waste and creating enjoyable mealtimes.
Previous experience as a Cook or Chef is essential, with confidence preparing meals from scratch. You don't need care home experience - if you've worked in a pub, restaurant, hotel, cafe or professional kitchen, we'd love to hear from you!
