The Opportunity
We are looking for someone who is about to begin their Level 2 or Level 3 Bricklaying qualification and is seeking an apprenticeship placement with a professional, supportive and growing construction company. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience alongside skilled tradespeople, working on a variety of domestic and commercial construction projects. You’ll receive hands-on training while developing the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to become a qualified bricklayer.
Your Responsibilities
- Working alongside experienced bricklayers and site teams, you will assist with:
- Bricklaying and blockwork on new build and extension projects
- Setting out and preparing work areas
- Mixing and preparing mortar
- Laying bricks and blocks to specification
- Building cavity walls and structural masonry
- Assisting with foundations and substructure work
- Repointing and repair work where required
- Loading, unloading and organizing materials
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organized working environment
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the wider site team on a range of construction activities
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- About to commence a Level 2 or Level 3 Bricklaying qualification
- A genuine interest in construction and bricklaying
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Pride in producing quality workmanship
Desirable:
- Previous construction or labouring experience
- Full UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one
