Bryn Edwin Hall is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and caring Activities Coordinator to join our activity team.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys spending time with older people, including those living with dementia, and is passionate about making everyday life meaningful, enjoyable and engaging.
Your responsibilities will include:
- • Planning and delivering a varied programme of activities based on residents’ interests, abilities and preferences.
- • Organising group activities, arts and crafts, music, reminiscence, games and gentle exercise.
- • Providing meaningful one-to-one engagement,
- • Arranging outings, celebrations and opportunities for community involvement.
- • Encouraging residents’ independence, choice and participation in everyday activities.
- • Working closely with care staff and our Behaviour Support & Engagement Lead to support residents’ emotional wellbeing.
- • Listening to residents’ feedback and adapting activities to their changing needs.
We are looking for someone who:
- • Is friendly, patient, creative and genuinely enjoys working with older people.
- • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- • Can work independently, use initiative and bring fresh ideas.
- • Understands the importance of dignity, inclusion and person-centred care.
- Previous experience in activities, care or a similar role is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided, including dementia awareness and person-centred engagement.
