Support Worker
Location: Hereford
Pay: ÂŁ34,779 (depending on experience and qualifications)
At Cambian Group, you’re not just working – you’re shaping futures. As a Support Worker based within West Midlands, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8‑18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported. A simple \”How was your day?\” and a shared laugh over a board game or encouragement during a tough moment build trust and shape lives.
What’s Your Role:
- Support young people with daily routines—getting them ready for school, prepping meal times, and planning activities.
- Help create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
- Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights, or creative projects.
- Maintain essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Where you will work:
The home is a 2‑bed rural facility on the Welsh border, currently hosting one admitted child. The young person attends education and enjoys indoor/outdoor activities—day trips, football, chess, cinema, pool, table tennis, cooking, and more. Staff adopt a nurturing, therapeutic and supportive approach both for the young person and among colleagues.
Who You Are
Warm, patient, a great listener and encourager—focused on achieving outcomes for others.
No prior experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide the training.
