An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Team Leaders! We are looking for Team Leaders who are caring and compassionate individuals with the desire to make a positive difference to the lives of our incredible children and young people through leading by example to other children's and young person's support workers. You MUST be 21 due to Ofsted regulations. Driving is essential due to locations of the homes. You must have at least six months' experience in children’s residential care. New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people's records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role. Responsibilities
- Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People in line with Ofsted regulations
- Planning team rotas, supporting the Deputy and home manager in various meetings and appointments
- Assisting the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
- Carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager
- Supervise in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager
- Welcome a diverse culture in the home
- Creating a safe, family environment for the children
- Planning engaging activities and providing one-on-one support to young people
- Accompanying young people on off‑site trips
- Adaptable, flexible, and skilled at reading situations to guide young people towards making positive choices
Qualifications & Requirements
- Age 21 or older (Ofsted regulations)
- Minimum six months’ experience in children’s residential care
- Experience with electronic care recording systems (Clearcare preferred)
- NVQ Level 4 & 5 in children and young people's workforce
- Willingness to work on a rota basis, including 2‑3 shifts per week (roughly 10 per month) and 365 days a year, including public holidays and Christmas/New Year
- Must be able to drive due to home locations
Compensation & Benefits
- £30 per sleep in; on a full‑time basis this could be an additional £3,600 per year (based on 10 sleep ins per month)
- 224 hours of paid annual leave per annum, rising to 240 hours after 5 years
- Fully paid 10‑day induction course
- Overtime paid at 1.25×
