What You’ll Do

  • Support young people with their daily routines: getting ready for school, meal times, and planning activities.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of support workers.
  • Ensure children receive the highest level of support.
  • Support the home management team with timely updates.
  • Provide an average of 8 overnight sleep‑ins per month.
  • Promote individuality rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.
  • Monitor care plans and produce reports for managers.
  • Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
  • Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights, or creative projects.

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system daily to document, monitor and update records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but full training will be provided. All staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day‑to‑day role.

Who Are You?

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within children’s residential care.
  • Level 3/4 qualification in Children’s Residential/Children’s Workforce.
  • Manual UK driving licence is essential.
  • Experience supporting team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to cover shifts flexibly.
