Grateley House School is a residential school for young people aged 11-19 who have a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome and other associated difficulties.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and interested individual to work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team and be based at Grateley House School. This post will combine clinical and administrative support roles: you will be working directly with individual students or groups to deliver therapy programmes, under the direction of a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT), supporting SLTs in assessment of resident’s communication skills, reporting on students' progress, providing support with resources for individuals and contributing to the development of the Inclusive Communication Environment. You will receive regular supervision and, as part of the Cambian SLT service, be eligible for training.
It is essential that the successful candidate has an interest in communication and has worked with young people with autism, severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour; experience of complex needs would be an advantage. Basic IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team for all aspects of this post are essential. Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
