As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of their daily lives, and the positive impact you will have is immeasurable. In addition to a £500 Refer a Friend Scheme, we offer:

Shift Pattern: 16-24 Hour shifts (including Sleep-in), on a one on two off or two on four off basis.

A typical day for a Senior Support Worker might include:

  • Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager when required
  • Supporting the development of Residential Care Workers through mandatory training and mentoring
  • Communicating with the team about care plans and their implementation
  • Maintaining accurate records in logs, sheets, and files for monitoring and evaluation
  • Participating in team and staff meetings
  • Providing direct support and care to young people
  • Encouraging engagement in education and activities
  • Traveling with young people to and from school or college
  • Preparing meals and maintaining the home environment (cleaning, laundry, etc.)
  • Organising and facilitating social activities

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • 12 months senior experience in a Residential setting is highly desirable, but applications from those starting their journey are encouraged
  • DBS and reference checks will be conducted in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices
