We are looking for an experienced Night Team Leader to join us at Pengwern College. If you are passionate about making a real difference to the lives of our young people, then we would love to hear from you.

About us: Cambian Pengwern College is a 52-week placement provision that has a proud and successful tradition of supporting students between the ages of 16-25 who have Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs, including some challenging behaviours, to gain valuable life skills, qualifications, and confidence to support their onward journey towards independence. The Head of College and the dedicated team recognise this success and want to offer this opportunity to a wider range of young people and adults as part of the ongoing developments taking place across all areas of the college. Cambian Pengwern College is situated in Rhuddlan, Denbighshire, taking pride in the commitment to delivering quality learning through individualised programmes for the students, supported by an extensive range of therapeutic and sensory input with amazing on-site facilities and opportunities within the local communities for students to learn and engage with members of the community.

The purpose of the College is to prepare students for the demands of adult life through staff expertise and specialist approaches. This includes providing a nurturing and therapeutic environment that encourages students to flourish academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Purpose of the position: The role is about leading a team to maintain a stable, happy, and caring environment that puts the health, safety, and welfare of our young people first. To provide appropriate physical and emotional support to young people in residence through the work of a team of care staff within a residential environment. The emphasis is upon effective management of a team, which involves motivating, coaching, managing performance via probation/appraisal, and auditing the quality of care.

Requirements of the Team Leader:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 RQF Child and young person's workforce qualification or equivalent (Essential)
  • To undertake required training as requested that is relevant to your post.
