As a Residential Team Leader, based within Heywood, every moment you spend with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued and supported. What You’ll Do
- Support young people with their daily routines; getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.
- Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
- Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
- Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.
Where You’ll Do It
Our home is a nurturing and supportive environment where children can feel safe, valued, respected and encouraged to grow. The team have their own individual strengths. They are very supportive and encourage one another to develop in areas where they may lack confidence. There is an experienced leadership team here so there is no shortage of support. There is currently one young person in placement who has been in the home for 19 months; she has built up some really good strong relationships and has been supported in all aspects of her life. Learning health and focus on talents and skills. The current young person has a great sense of humour and is a typical teenager. Our home has a team of six who are trained in therapeutic parenting, they are experienced and skilled in supporting children with complex needs and behaviours. A wide range of training is offered to meet each individual child's needs and behaviours.
