Residential Childcare Worker Part Time 21 hours per week

£17,899 to £18,281 per annum. This includes payments for expected 4 sleeps per month.

What You'll Do

As a Children's Residential Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.

  • Ensure our children receive the highest level of support
  • Support senior staff with timely updates
  • Up to 4 sleep-ins per month
  • Promote individuality NOT a "one size fits all" approach
  • Complete and update care plans regularly, updating with any additional requirements
  • Be part of a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
  • Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately.

Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.

Fairfield is a traditional farm house surrounded by open fields with great views over the Rossendale valley.

The home supports up to 5 individuals from the ages 10-16, making it a very fun and active home.

Everyone here absolutely loves the young people that live with us and go above and beyond to give them the very best.

We try our best to make it a place they feel safe and loved in, and give them all the opportunities any other child would have.

Some of our young people are very sporty and love playing football, basketball, gymnastics and going to the gym.

We also have young people that love gaming, like most teenagers, and also a young person who loves drama and performing arts.

We treat each other as a family away from our own so that for all of our staff, this is not just a job.

We all have a passion for the young people living here and protect them as if they were our own.

A job is not just a job when other people depend on you and that is something we ensure all our staff feel, because if our young people can feel that we truly care about them, then we will be able to get the best out of them!

  • Ability to cover day shifts with overnight sleep-ins at the service
