Are you a passionate educator ready to make a tangible impact? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our specialist team, ideally with subject knowledge in Art and IT. You will deliver engaging, personalised lessons to students with ASD needs who require an alternative to mainstream education. This is more than a teaching role; it is a chance to inspire and re‑engage young people through sensitivity, adaptability, and creative instruction.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To maintain an up to date understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) principles, definitions and basic practice.
  • To effectively co‑ordinate the work within the nurture class, covering all subject areas and cross‑curricular themes, in conjunction with Subject Leaders as set out in the curriculum policy.
  • To communicate and consult with parents/carers and other appropriate people, participating in student‑focused meetings as required.
  • Being familiar with curriculum requirements and making full use of assessment information to develop, adapt and evaluate teaching strategies to give maximum benefit to students with SEN.
  • Identifying appropriate learning outcomes and developing a range of approaches which reduce barriers arising from impairments and help students to attain achievable targets.
  • Working collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams to make best use of expertise.
