About the Service – Morven House
Rated GOOD by CQC, Morven House is a prestigious and beautiful Georgian building that is very welcoming and boasts a fun and homely atmosphere. It has a fantastic garden, and unusually for a Supported Living Site has 2 communal lounges – which are utilised a lot by their 10 Service Users. The current Service Users in situ are all male and aged between 20 – 57 years of age. All have autism and varying levels of learning disabilities with some challenging behaviour and limited communication. That said, all are VERY active, and are incredibly sociable. A number of outings are arranged from Morven House to Thorpe Park and similar places. Other activities enjoyed are dancing, BBQ’s, swimming, bowling, adventure parks, going on walks, music, arts and crafts, attending Day Centres, sensory rooms, shopping, eating out, gaming, with one Service User attending college, and another who is in paid employment.

- Walks in the local park and community
- Cooking and baking to develop life skills
The Role
- Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Support activities, appointments, and community access
- Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
- Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable. No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

- Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
- Drivers desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
