We are looking for a motivated, skilled and resilient Vocational Instructor.
The role will suit an instructor who can demonstrate energy, enthusiasm with a strong positive behaviour management ethos.
Class sizes are small with TA support, all of our students need bespoke individualised learning.
- Purpose of the Job
- To teach a range of young people the majority of who will have either learning or behavioural difficulties or both.
- To be cognisant of different methods in which students learn and to apply these sympathetically within the structure of lessons.
- To maintain good professional practices.
- To help create a positive environment for each young person with particular reference to his or her safety, health and education.
- Relevant Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Able to proficiently use tools and safely instruct and manage students to use them.
- Able to plan and prioritise workload.
- Ability to maintain judgement when working under pressure.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative.
- Ability to learn and develop new skills.
Desirable
- Experience managing vocational projects.
- Cross-curricular working to incorporate National curriculum into practical learning.
- A significant level of teaching experience and relevant qualifications.
- Good standard of education achieved.
- Knowledge of child care law.
- Knowledge of child care protection issues.
