We are looking for a Children and Young Person's Residential Team Leader who is a caring and compassionate individual with the desire to make a positive difference to the lives of our incredible Children & Young people through leading by example to other Children's & Young person’s support workers.

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day‑to‑day role.
About the role
The working day can be very unpredictable and you could find yourself doing a variation of duties such as:
- Planning team rotas
- Supporting the Deputy and Home Manager in various meetings and appointments
You’ll need to be flexible, reliable, adaptable able to read situations to help our young people make positive choices while proactively supporting colleagues in their development through leading by example. Working on a rota basis (average 169 hours a month full time) plus sleep‑ins depending on the size of the home. Meeting the needs of our Children and Young People in line with OFSTED regulations.
Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
- Ability to assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose.
- Experience leading a team in residential care.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Receive supervision in line with quality standards and take responsibility for personal development and progress of individual training needs.
- Carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and the Deputy Manager.
- Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager.
- A full UK driving licence is required due to the location and nature of the role.
