We are recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join our service in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. About the Service – Westbrook House
A residential care service supporting adults aged 18+ in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The service promotes independence, choice, and wellbeing through tailored, person‐centred support. Westbrook House is an 8‐bedded home, currently supporting 7 service users:
- 5 service users are wheelchair users, require hoisting, and support with PEG feeding.
- 2 service users are more physically able and require support with learning disabilities.
Westbrook House has a warm, friendly atmosphere. There is free parking onsite.

The Role
- Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, providing guidance, role‐modelling, and day‐to‐day direction.
- Deliver and oversee high‐quality, person‐centred support, ensuring support plans are followed, reviewed, and updated.
- Coordinate and participate in meaningful activities, appointments, and community engagement for the people we support.
- Maintain high standards of record‐keeping, completing documentation, incident reports, and reviews professionally.
- Participate in the Senior On‐Call rota, responding to staff queries, incidents, and operational needs as required.
