As a Domestic Cleaner, you will be responsible for helping to provide and maintain a safe, clean, positive environment. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that the residence and learning environment are all cleaned to a high standard following the health and safety policies and requirements. You will be working within a homely environment with a responsibility for cleaning the communal areas and bedrooms; this is not limited to but may include dealing with personal hygiene issues such as incontinence.
We are looking for someone who is able to work independently with a positive and proactive approach to obtaining high standards of cleanliness. We are looking for a self-motivated, flexible and efficient individual who takes pride in their work and understands the important part they play. We do not require any specific experience for this role; some knowledge of COSHH, health and safety in the workplace and/or previous cleaning experience would be advantageous.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, offices, and corridors.
- Dust, polish, vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors and surfaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
- Ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the house, helping to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our supported individuals and staff while following health and safety and infection control procedures.
