Children’s Residential Support Worker Foulridge, near Colne/Pendle BB8 £35,798 to £36,563 dependent on Level 3/4 in Children’s Residential/Workforce. Includes payments for an average of just 8 sleep‑ins per month.

Requirements

  • A full manual UK driving licence is required for this role and we are not able to offer sponsorship.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure children receive the highest level of support
  • Average of 8 sleep‑ins per month
  • Support senior staff with timely updates
  • Promote individuality – no "one size fits all" approach
  • Complete and update care plans regularly, adding any new requirements
  • Help with light housekeeping to create a warm, homely environment
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
  • Plan and join fun activities such as park trips, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
  • New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
  • All staff are expected to confidently use digital systems in their day‑to‑day role.

Who Are You

  • Previous experience is preferred or you have cared for a friend or family member
  • Ability to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential
  • Manual UK driving licence is essential
  • Open to ongoing development and learning with help from a friendly team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Ability to cover day shifts with overnight sleep‑ins at the service
