About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled CAD Design Technicians to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. You will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of mechanical systems for our THP installations, with a focus on structural steel, pressure vessels, and piping systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use of SolidWorks 3D CAD software to create detailed drawings for manufacture/assembly.
  • Create pipework/steelwork/vessel drawings based on output from calculation packages.
  • Work with 3D assemblies/parts/drawings to prepare documentation for fabrication/assembly.
  • Create BOM’s/bolting lists/assembly lists for relevant departments.
  • Interpret PID drawings to transfer to 3D model/2D drawings.
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure integrated plant designs.
  • Provide technical support shop floor manufacturing/assembly departments.

We Are Looking For

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Logical approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical design, ideally gained within process industries such as energy, water treatment, oil and gas, or chemical processing.
  • Some knowledge of design codes and standards for pressure vessels, piping, and steel structures.
  • Proficiency in 3D Solidworks design software (other relevant software experience considered).
  • Accredited qualifications in mechanical engineering (e.g. HND, Level 3 diploma or equivalent).
