We are looking for an experienced Field Service Lead to spearhead our growing Vancouver / Surrey operations. Our Field Service teams work on a variety of projects primarily in the material handling industry which include pallet racking, mezzanines, shelving, automated storage, conveyors, packaging equipment and dock equipment. The scope of work includes construction, maintenance, and repairs. Our focus in the Vancouver region will be on construction. The material handling industry is very busy and growing rapidly worldwide. Cam Industrial has a relatively small, but rapidly growing, presence within the Vancouver region and we are looking for someone with technical skills and leadership abilities to assist in developing the business while executing on projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Commitment and proven record to work safely
- Ability to read blueprints and follow blueprints
- Understanding and dedication to customer service excellence
- Willingness to travel
- Valid driver’s license
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Construction of material handling and storage systems and products.
- Pallet racking structures
- Mezzanines and work platforms
- Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
- Shelving systems
- Conveyors
- Packaging lines and equipment
- Assist and work with the design, engineering, project management, and sales teams
- Client communications
- Site assessments
- Project planning and costing
- Constructability reviews
- Vendor communications
- Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately
- Safety Field reports
- Complete training as required
- Manage company vehicle and tools
- Operate various equipment (forklifts, telehandlers…)
- Operate various power tools specific to the job
Schedule:
8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime
Education
AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
