Calvic Enterprises are looking for enthusiastic, vibrant, and compassionate individuals who lead with their hearts and strive to deliver high-quality person‑centred care! In business for over a decade, we are a values‑based, disability‑friendly employer that takes pride in the support we provide to vulnerable adults and children in the West Midlands area. This position is for people living in the Birmingham locality. The shifts available are Monday to Sunday, and are flexible throughout the day. Shift patterns vary – more information available. Please note we will not be offering Tier 2 Sponsorship for this role.
ALL SUPPORT WORKERS ARE REQUIRED TO WORK ALTERNATE WEEKENDS.
We offer full training, a competitive salary, and flexible working hours. We also pay an enhanced rate over weekends, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
Responsibilities:
- Medication administration
- Meal preparation and support with nutritional and hydration needs
- Budgeting finances and support with employment and education
- Companionship
- Domestic tasks
- Support with appointments
As a support worker you will be involved in maintaining an individual’s wishes to remain in the comfort of one of our semi‑independent services, and you will be required to carry out the above tasks. We treat each service user with dignity and respect and expect caring attitudes from all caregivers. Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening) and be proactive with regular and flexible work hours.
We encourage personal development by offering external qualifications such as QCF Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and Children’s Services, NCFE CACHE Level 2, and the Care Certificate. All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS check. If you don’t have an Adults and Children’s DBS on the update service, we can help you apply. You will also need a minimum of 2 employer references and 1 character reference.
