Care Support Worker Laundry - Casual Position

About the role
The Support Worker – Laundry will support the delivery of a safe and clean laundry service for residents in alignment with appropriate standards. Calvary Ryde Retirement Community is a friendly, close-knit community and home to residents of many cultures and backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, sort and distribute clothing and linen as per laundry instructions.
- Ensure adequate stocks of clean linen, towels and laundry skip bags are available in the designated storage areas in the home.
About you
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
- Knowledge and experience in safe chemical handling (desirable).
- Commercial laundry experience (desirable).
- Experience in Aged Care (desirable).
