About the role:
We are looking for people to join our Melbourne team as Support Workers in the community. Part time positions are currently available to work with the community care team.
As a support worker you will be supporting people with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, assistance in the community and being a companion. Qualified support workers will also support clients with personal cares, assistance with mobility and prompting with medication. Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks. Promote customer choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer.
We have clients living at home in Ringwood, Croydon, Lilydale, and surrounding suburbs. Where we can, we will roster employees based on geographic location to minimize travel.

What you will bring:
- Ideally, you will have some experience in the health sector, but if not, we would still love to hear from you if this is a career you want to pursue and you have the right ‘can-do’ attitude. Full training and orientation will be provided.
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desired but not essential).
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence and insured, reliable motor vehicle.
- Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
