The Hotel Kilmore in Cavan, part of Calusade Hotels group, is currently hiring a Wedding Sales Manager.

Position Summary

The Wedding Sales Manager will be responsible for driving wedding and social event business at Kilmore Hotel through proactive sales activity, exceptional client relationship management and flawless event coordination from enquiry stage through to execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in positioning Hotel Kilmore as a leading wedding destination, ensuring revenue targets are achieved while delivering an exceptional customer journey and guest experience aligned to the hotel's brand standards. This role requires a highly organised, commercially focused and customer-centric professional who can work collaboratively with operational teams, the Group Sales & Marketing function and the onsite management team to maximise wedding and event opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all wedding and social event enquiries from initial enquiry through to confirmation and event execution.
  • Conduct showarounds of the hotel and wedding facilities for prospective clients.
  • Build strong relationships with couples and clients to convert enquiries into confirmed business.
  • Proactively drive wedding sales and achieve agreed revenue and conversion targets.
  • Maintain strong enquiry management processes and follow-up procedures.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts and quotations for wedding and event business.
  • Upsell additional services and maximise revenue opportunities across bedrooms, food & beverage and ancillary services.
  • Attend wedding fairs, showcases and promotional events representing the hotel professionally.

Client Experience & Coordination

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the full wedding journey.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for wedding couples and event clients.
  • Coordinate all wedding details with operational departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Conduct planning meetings and final detail appointments with couples.
  • Ensure all function sheets and operational handovers are completed accurately and communicated effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients ensuring confidence and professionalism at all stages.
  • Manage guest feedback and ensure any issues are resolved promptly and professionally.

Commercial & Business Development

  • Work closely with the Group Director of Sales & Marketing to develop wedding sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnership opportunities within the wedding market.
  • Monitor competitor activity and local market trends.
  • Support the achievement of overall hotel revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting for weddings and events.
  • Ensure wedding packages and pricing remain competitive and commercially effective.

Marketing & Brand Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Group Marketing and Brand team on wedding campaigns, social media content and promotional activity.
  • Assist with content creation, testimonials, photography coordination and wedding showcases.
  • Ensure all wedding communications and promotional materials reflect the hotel's brand standards and tone of voice.
  • Support digital and traditional marketing initiatives related to weddings and events.

Operational Collaboration

  • Work closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to ensure operational readiness for all weddings and events.
  • Participate in operational meetings where required.
  • Ensure smooth communication between Sales, Events, Kitchen, Accommodation and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to wedding operations and guest experience.

Administration & Systems

  • Maintain accurate records, contracts and client details within hotel systems.
  • Ensure all deposits, payment schedules and invoicing processes are managed correctly.
  • Produce weekly and monthly sales reports as required.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records, conversion reports and event forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and data protection requirements.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in wedding sales, events or hotel sales management.
  • Strong understanding of the wedding and hospitality market.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel/event management systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events and showcases.
