A new opportunity has arisen for a flexible and resourceful Physics Technician to join our team at Calthorpe Park School, playing a crucial role in supporting the wider Science department with preparation and assistance with Science-related materials as well as facility maintenance.

You will be responsible for the preparation of a range of materials and apparatus for the Science curriculum within teaching rooms for academic staff and students. You will take pride in ensuring Science facilities are maintained to a high standard, conforming to Health and Safety standards whilst also assisting in auditing the use of facilities and equipment and maintaining the equipment stores.

Job requirements:

  • Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant Science specialism
  • GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively monitor usage and standards of equipment and facilities
  • Knowledge of relevant school policies and codes of safe practice within the classroom
