What you'll be doing: You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials, components, and supplies required for production or project execution. You will ensure that all materials arrive on time, meet quality standards, align with cost objectives and coordinate closely with suppliers, production teams, engineering, and other internal departments to support uninterrupted workflow and efficient supply chain operations.
The ideal candidate will be a great team player and have a willingness to be hands-on with admin tasks. They will also have a proven track record of attention to detail, consistency and accuracy and have effective time management skills with the ability to work to tight and changing deadlines.
This is your ideal role if you have:
- Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle).
- A minimum of 2 years commercial experience in a manufacturing/buying/procurement function, ideally in an electronic manufacturing environment.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers and the ability to track orders, follow up with suppliers, resolve delivery delays, and coordinate shipments.
- Familiarity with inventory levels, material requirements, and replenishment methods.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
