We are seeking a Transport Safety Analyst to support the development and delivery of transport safety strategies across the business. This role plays a key part in improving safety, compliance, efficiency, and driver performance across Calor’s vehicle distribution fleet. You will act as a front-line analytical and operational support for the business, using telematics and dash camera technology to drive continual safety improvements. Working closely with Site Leaders, Transport Controllers, Driver Coaches, IT, and external suppliers, you will help ensure data is translated into meaningful actions that deliver real results.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as front-line support for the Telematics and Dash Camera systems as part of the Safety Monitoring Centre (SMC).
- Lead and coordinate telematics and dash cam support with Driver Coaches to proactively monitor and improve driver performance.
- Produce regular and bespoke reports to support Site Leaders and Transport Controllers in improving safety, compliance, MPG, and performance.
- Provide analytical and operational support for Logistics Performance activities, including SAP FOR driver and vehicle set-up.
- Analyse telematics and dash camera data to support short, medium, and long-term safety and efficiency plans.
- Support users of telematics and dash cam platforms, ensuring compliance and effective utilisation across the business.
- Liaise with Site Leaders and Transport Controllers to support training plans, including Insight roll-out and SHVe Transport Safety Standards.
- Maintain effective relationships with telematics providers, ensuring timely release and adoption of software updates.
- Work collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders to deliver continuous improvement initiatives across Fulfilment operations.
- Support depots and fulfilment teams with both operational and analytical expertise.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently using own initiative.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with a proven track record using Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Effective problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to source and interpret information from a wide range of sources.
- Experience supporting or contributing to project work.
- Proven working knowledge of current transport regulations and directives.
