We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Internal Sales Team Leader to lead our Central Internal Sales Team. In this role, you’ll lead a team responsible for qualifying and converting inbound and outbound sales leads, supporting marketing campaigns, and helping drive customer growth through excellent service and sales performance. Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Customer Service, you’ll play a key role in supporting the onboarding and growth of new business opportunities while helping shape a high-performing and customer-focused culture. Success in this role will be measured through customer creation, lead conversion, campaign performance and team development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading & Developing the Team
- Lead, coach and motivate a team of Internal Sales Agents to achieve sales and service targets
- Support colleagues through regular one-to-ones, feedback and development conversations
- Create a positive, engaging and high-performing team environment
- Manage performance proactively, recognising success and addressing underperformance where needed
- Ensure training and product knowledge is maintained across the team
- Driving Sales & Campaign Performance
- Support the delivery of inbound and outbound sales campaigns through distance selling channels
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to brief campaigns, set targets and drive results
- Monitor campaign performance, conversion rates and productivity to identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure the customer value proposition is clearly understood and consistently delivered
- Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build strong working relationships with Internal Sales Professionals, field sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Customer Service teams
- Support a smooth onboarding experience for new customers
- Provide campaign feedback, insights and performance updates to key stakeholders
- Operational Excellence
- Monitor staffing levels and resource planning to maximise productivity and customer responsiveness
- Ensure CRM systems and reporting requirements are used effectively and maintained accurately
- Use data and operational insight to identify trends, solve problems and improve performance
- Promote and support a positive safety culture across the team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience leading or managing teams in a sales, customer service or contact centre environment
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate others
- Experience delivering results in a target-driven environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
- Experience in distance selling and multi-channel customer engagement
- Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Good keyboard, telephony and CRM system skills
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
