Plant Operator
Night Shifts
The Production team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Plant Operator
The role is to safely Operate machinery to meet production targets, rotating on filling and workstation activities as required by the Shift Lead.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Unload and segregate workstation and scrap cylinders
- The loading and unloading of cylinder trailers and rigids
- Deliver production targets set by the Shift Lead
- Contribute to the gathering and reporting of production data for the Shift Lead and Plant Supervisors
- Assist in training new starters and support their integration into the team
- Comply with all applicable work instructions, risk assessments and operational bulletins
- Contribute to a safety-first operation and incident free workplace, reporting any incident, injury or near miss and contributing to the hazard spot program
As such we would like you to have/be:
- Able to operate machinery and troubleshoot
- Identify improvement opportunities, promptly reporting defects as well as tackling root causes.
- Strong performance orientation
- Can understand production targets and efficiencies
- React effectively to emerging issues and take action to remain on track to meet objective
