Join us as a Transport Planning Dispatcher at our Neath site, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient and seamless distribution to meet our customers' needs.
About the Role: The role is responsible for overseeing the regional distribution picture, dealing with vehicle breakdowns, customer run outs, driver absenteeism, redirecting drivers when a call is aborted, end to end accountability of trips, including reconciliation, and making the right decisions to ensure the plan continues to be executed efficiently whilst meeting customers’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and adjust live distribution plans to address disruptions while maintaining efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Strong customer orientation with the ability to deliver high levels of customer service/experience through effective route planning and teamwork.
- Provide updates on customer runouts, vehicle breakdowns, or unforeseen changes to senior management.
- Compile and share reports on distribution progress and highlight areas for improvement.
- Support the safety agenda by optimising routes, updating customer master data, and improving driver wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Call centre, customer service or fast-paced environment experience is essential. A transport background is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Skills: Strong administrative abilities and attention to detail. Confident communicator via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. A self-motivated individual who is able to work individually and as part of a team to critically evaluate process performance and their contribution. Comfortable making decisions under pressure and balancing priorities effectively. Strong customer orientation with the ability to deliver high levels of customer service/experience through effective route planning and teamwork. Process-oriented individual with a continuous improvement mindset.
