Gas Service Engineer - Field Based – Home Engineer

Work type: Permanent full-time

Location: South East, Kent area

Salary: Circa £30,000 to £35,000 (Dependent on Experience / Qualifications) + Overtime + Company van + Pension + Healthcare

Calor are looking for a flexible and motivated Gas Service Engineer to join our field-based Assets team, providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in the area. Predominately working outdoors, key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets (full training given) at customer sites
  • Participation in travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base
  • Participation in a Standby Rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours

This role requires a flexible, positive and adaptable approach. Please note this vacancy does NOT involve servicing or working on gas appliances.

This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified gas engineer with minimal experience, to join the market leading LPG supplier and continue to develop and be trained as an LPG engineer. You need excellent problem solving and communication skills, be confident working on your own initiative on customer sites, and enjoy working mainly outdoors. A willingness to support other team members and colleagues is expected.

We are looking for:

  • Someone who has recently retrained as a gas engineer with a minimum of Core Gas Safety (CCN1)
  • Previous 'hands on' gas industry experience is essential and customer care experience.
  • A full UK driving license is also essential
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness
