Yard Operative
Location: Exeter
As the Yard Operator for Calor Gas - Exeter you will be responsible for control of stock both incoming and outgoing ensuring deliveries are made in a timely manner to meet customer service levels agreements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to a safety first operation and incident free workplace. Report any incident, injury or near miss and contribute to the hazard spot program
- Safely operate FLT’s and shunt vehicles when required to meet delivery targets.
- Ensure all vehicle movements adhere to the local site transport rules and traffic management plans
- Adherence to the yard stock layout plan ensuring cylinders are stacked safely in the correct areas at all times
- Comply with all applicable work instructions, training, risk assessments and operational bulleting’s
- Contribute to the weekly stock count when applicable
- Assist in training new inductee’s (direct and indirect) and support their integration into the team
- Deal with problems as they occur during the shift and contribute to driving continuous improvement across activities
