HGV Technician – Bury St Edmunds (On-Site Workshop)

What You\’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain, repair, and modify Calor’s fleet of vehicles and trailers
  • Perform diagnostics, fault analysis, and technical resolutions
  • Ensure all work meets strict Health & Safety standards
  • Operate tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain clear documentation and complete all records accurately
  • Carry out high-standard engineering repairs independently and within a team

Shift Pattern

  • Core hours: 6:00am – 3:00pm
  • Late shift: One week in every 4
  • On-call rota: Introduced after full Calor training is completed

What We’re Looking For

  • City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent discipline)
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, trailers, plant, and workshop equipment
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical & pneumatic faults
  • Ability to multitask, work to deadlines, and follow H&S regulations
  • Team player with good communication and organisational skills
  • HGV C+E licence (Class 1) and ADR preferred but not essential
