Primary function of the role: Reporting to the Site Supervisor / Assistance supervisor, you will play a key role within the Operations department and assist in ensuring the smooth flow of cylinder production through the filling house to meet on-time deliveries in the most effective manner. You will be trained to complete all cylinder production activities including cylinder filling and pre / post quality checks.
All successful candidates must submit a NIAccess Report and undertake a medical examination with the Company Doctor.
Duties will include:
- Adhering to all relevant work instructions and site policies at all times
- Complete the safe loading and unloading of cylinders from pallets and trailers
- Identify and segregate non-Calor cylinders from the production process
- External inspection of cylinders prior to filling
- Segregation and safe storage of cylinders failing inspection
- Filling of all cylinder types and sizes as required
- Check weigh and thoroughly inspect all cylinders as required
- Top up and de-gas cylinders as required
- Carry out quality checks throughout the production process as required
- Report any quality issues to the filling plant supervisor
- Report all incidents, near misses and safety concerns
- Complete general housekeeping duties to ensure workplace is kept clean and tidy
- Complete work station training for new operatives as required
- Assist maintenance team with non-technical duties as required
- Embrace and support change through continuous improvements
- Ad hoc duties as directed by your manager
Requirements
Experience:
- Knowledge of the handling and storage of LPG
- Manual handling experience
- Be able to effectively communicate and understand both written and spoken English
- Be able to understand and appreciate clear instructions for health and safety, work instructions
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a manufacturing or production environment is desired
- Counter balance FLT licence
