The Customer Engineering team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Gas Engineer providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in the area. Calor Gas is the UK’s leading LPG supplier, offering a range of off-grid energy options for heating, cooking and other needs to homes and businesses including sectors such as agriculture, transport and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets at customer sites.
  • Travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base.
  • Participation in a standby rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours.

As such we would like you to have/be:

  • ACS Gas Qualified.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care.
  • Any relevant gas engineering experience would be considered useful, and an understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness.
  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.

As part of our field-based team, you will take part in Calor’s training programme and will build the skills and knowledge of installation and maintenance work needed to provide the best service possible to our customers. This will include providing you with the knowledge and skills you need to support our 24/7 emergency response service which is an essential part of what we do!
