Calor are looking for a flexible and motivated Gas Service Engineer to join our field-based Assets team, providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in the area.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets (full training given) at customer sites
- Participation in travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base
- This role requires participation in a Standby Rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours and can involve extensive travel in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base.
Please note this vacancy does NOT involve servicing or working on gas appliances.
This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified gas engineer with minimal experience, to join the market leading LPG supplier and continue to develop and be trained as an LPG engineer. Need excellent problem solving and communication skills who is confident working on their own initiative on customer sites and who enjoys working mainly outdoors. A willingness to support other team members and colleagues is expected.
You in turn will be supported through an ongoing commitment to develop your own skills, understanding and expertise as an LPG specialist.
We Are Looking For:
- Someone who has recently retrained as a gas engineer with a minimum of Core Gas Safety (CCN1)
- Previous 'hands on' gas industry experience is essential and customer care experience.
- Any relevant gas engineering experience would be considered useful and an understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders would be a distinct advantage.
- A full UK driving license is also essential.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness.
