We’re currently seeking a Process Safety Engineer who’s passionate about safety and driven by purpose to join our team and support our operational sites across the Central and South West regions. What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering and supporting our Process Safety Audit Programme
- Leading hazard identification studies (e.g. HAZOP, SWIFT, PHR)
- Providing coaching and guidance to site teams to drive safety awareness
- Supporting compliance with COMAH regulations and Calor standards
- Tracking safety performance through Process Safety Performance Indicators (PSPIs)
- Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and driving improvements
- Engaging with regulators, HSSE committees, and engineering colleagues
- Contributing to the development of policies and safety systems
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- City & Guilds (minimum) or preferably HNC in Chemical, Mechanical or Production Engineering (or equivalent).
- NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety Management.
- Practical knowledge of COMAH and hazard identification techniques (e.g. HAZOP, SWIFT, PHR).
- Experience auditing safety systems.
- Strong understanding of current health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload and priorities effectively.
Desirable:
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
- Internal auditor qualification
- Experience in the LPG or a similar regulated industry
