Treasurer - Volunteer

We are seeking a Treasurer to join our Trustee Board. The role of Treasurer is vital to the stability of the organisation – not only do we need someone to keep us on track financially and ensure we remain viable, but even more significantly, we are looking for someone to help us steer the charity\’s strategic direction, improve its visibility and develop partnerships with other local organisations for the enhancement of the whole St Ishmaels Community.

The ideal trustee should possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a passion for improving the community. We welcome people with a commitment to our aims and objectives, and the time and enthusiasm to put necessary effort into a worthwhile and exciting organisation.

What will you be doing?

Ferryside Social Enterprise Group (FSEG) is a non profit organisation providing local Community spaces in its Community hub and supporting local business in the small rural community of St Ishmael, in Carmarthenshire.

FSEG is at an exciting and challenging time in its development as it strives to continue to build community cohesion and resilience. As Treasurer you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring the budget
• Preparing regular financial updates for the Board
• Preparation and submission of annual accounts
• Supporting our paid bookkeeper as required
