Calnex Solutions is a growing and successful global technology company based in Scotland with offices in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Stevenage, England. We design, produce and market test instrumentation and solutions for network synchronization and network emulation, enabling our customers to validate the performance of the critical infrastructure associated with the telecoms networks.

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketeer, to be our expert on the market, customer needs and competitive landscape. In this role, you will shape how our products are positioned, understood and adopted. This is a highly cross-functional role, working closely with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure we build the right products and bring them to market with clarity and impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market and Customer Insight
    • Develop a deep, ongoing understanding of customer segments, behaviours and buying motivations
    • Lead qualitative and quantitative research to uncover unmet needs and market opportunities
    • Build and maintain persona frameworks and segmentation models
    • Monitor competitive dynamics and market trends, translating insights into strategic recommendations
  • Positioning and Messaging Leadership
    • Own the creation of differentiated compelling product positioning
    • Craft clear, value-driven messaging that resonates with target audiences
    • Ensure messaging consistency across all channels, regions and customer touchpoints
    • Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap decisions through market insights
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution
    • Lead end-to-end GTM planning for product launches and major feature releases
    • Define launch strategy, success metrics and cross-functional alignment
    • Partner with Sales, Partner Operations and Marketing to drive adoption and pipeline impact
    • Ensure organisational readiness through training, enablement and coordinated execution
  • Sales and Field Enablement
    • Create high-impact sales tools including pitch decks, battlecards, competitive briefs and demos
    • Train sales teams on messaging, positioning and objection handling
    • Support strategic customer conversations and key deals when needed
  • Content and Storytelling
    • Produce or oversee content that drives awareness, adoption and expansion
    • Translate complex product capabilities into simple, compelling narratives
    • Partner with Marketing to develop content for campaigns, events and thought leadership
  • Performance, Measurement and Optimisation
    • Track and analyse product adoption, GTM performance and pipeline contribution
    • Use insights to refine messaging, positioning and GTM strategy
    • Own outcomes focusing on measurable business impact rather than deliverables alone

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to understand customer needs, market dynamics and competitive landscapes in a B2B technology environment.
  • Expertise in crafting clear, differentiated positioning and messaging
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional go-to-market strategy and execution
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence across Product, Marketing, Sales and Support
  • Experience creating high impact sales enablement materials (pitch decks, battlecards, competitive briefs)
  • Data driven mindset with the ability to interpret adoption, pipeline and performance metrics
  • Strong ownership mentality with a focus on outcomes and measurable business impact
  • A willingness to frequently travel to USA, EMEA and North Asia to meet with customers, partners and regional teams.
  • 5+ years experience in Product Marketing or very closely related role.
  • Experience in one or more of the following would also be beneficial: Knowledge of monitoring or measurement systems, open/disaggregated network architectures, Ethernet/IP, 4G, 5G Mobile Networks, datacoms infrastructure, synchronization technology.
