Supply Chain Specialist (home-based) in Warwick

This role will suit someone who is process orientated, organised and who makes sure that every question is asked proactively in the procurement process. There will be daily opportunities to develop technical knowledge as well as form sound commercial foundations. Important measures of success would be; accuracy of information presented and ownership of delivery process from start to delivery. Job Type Full time On site (Hybrid requirements can be discussed) Responsibilities Purchase and deliver goods and/or services in accordance with the various programme delivery schedules and budgets. Work collaboratively with the Engineering, Operations and Programme Management Teams Strictly maintain an open order report that accurately conveys delivery information to the wider business Send out RFQ packs diligently and consistently Strengthen the company's position to foster negotiation with suppliers Prepare and raise purchase orders including delivery schedules Serve as an interface to the company for suppliers and do so with a professional approach Use data and statistics to identify areas to improve efficiency and reduce cost Take ownership of the procurement of parts and services, ensuring that they are delivered to the expected standard and on time Skills & Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate negotiation Have an organised and disciplined approach Be able to condense information into reports and summaries Be familiar with the major applications within Microsoft Office Possess an awareness of basic engineering processes and technical drawings Qualified at degree level.
