A fixed term FULL TIME contract of 6 months with a view to Permanent contract for the right person.

Overview: Are you looking for a hands on role in a fast paced, friendly environment where no two days are the same? We are a growing and dynamic e-commerce business supplying a wide range of garden products, Masonry BBQs, Outdoor Ovens and Firewood Logs directly to consumers, major UK retailers and online marketplaces. Due to continued growth & demand, we are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team as soon as possible. This role is offered on a temporary contract with a strong opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. Full time but hours can be discussed.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations across our five sites in the LN1 area. Be part of a modern e-commerce business working with well established products, new innovative Products and well known UK retailers. With a diverse product range, this is not your average warehouse role. We also deliver to local customers in our van and therefore a current valid UK driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading goods from lorries and containers
  • Accurately picking and packing orders, maintaining high quality standards
  • Safely lifting items up to 25kg on a regular basis
  • Operating warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and forklifts
  • Assisting with goods dispatching and receiving processes
  • Using a Warehouse Management System to track stock and orders
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment
  • Supporting inventory management and general warehouse operations
  • Working collaboratively to meet daily targets and operational goals
  • Working on own initiative to maintain a clean and safe warehouse

Skills & Experience

  • Physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting (up to 25kg)
  • Experience within a warehouse, shipping, or receiving environment preferred
  • Familiarity with loading and unloading various types of goods
  • Forklift experience or current certification preferable - not essential
  • Comfortable using email and Windows based systems
  • Strong attention to detail when picking and packing
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to support during busy periods
